TREATMENTS

Physiotherapists are considered "Body Specialists", which means that almost any muscle, or joint pain that you experience,... we can help you with. We are university trained (physiotherapists often have TWO university degrees), and at ROYAL CENTRE PHYSIOTHERAPY CLINIC, we have many years of experience.

Modalities

Modalities (machines such as LASER, electrical currents, muscle stimulators etc.), and manual (joint and muscle stretching and mobilizing) techniques are often used for dramatic relief of PAIN, swelling and other uncomfortable symptoms.

Exercise equipment

Exercise equipment may also be utilized for re-training of weak, damaged muscles, and to allow the patient to return to previous athletic endeavors ......(and maybe even new ones!).

Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS)

Intrasmuscular Stimulation (IMS) is a total system for the diagnosis and treatment of myofascial pain syndromes (chronic pain conditions that occur in the musculoskeletal system when there is no obvious sign of injury or inflammation). IMS is grounded in Western Medical Science, and has a solid foundation in its radiculopathic model of pain, which is now supported by many experts in the field.

Acupuncture

We also now offer Medical Acupuncture as part of physiotherapy treatment. Acupuncture can provide instantaneous pain relief, accelerating return to normal movement. In addition, it is a holistic treatment method and can also improve mood, energy and sleep patterns.

Other Services

Other services we offer include sport/golf fitness assessment for treatment and prevention of injury, computerized gait assessments, taping, bracing, exercise prescription, work ergonomic assessment and education.
