Dealing with pain persisting more than 3 months (chronic pain) requires treatment approaches that encompass more than the area of injury alone.
Come and hear the personal stories from Physiotherapist Steve Nairn and Yoga Instructor Christy Forman of their experiences of dealing with chronic pain. Hear about their insights on this subject plus the most current research aimed at helping people overcome chronic pain.
Following the workshop Christy will be offering a complimentary Restorative Yoga Class to practice relaxation on the floor in a supportive pose.
This class offers education around how you can support yourself within you recovery, how less is truly more and how to take effective action. Education and support around how to observe and listen to your personal limits in a daily way and work within them to release tension holding patterns.

Aside from progressing your fitness, the program also offers insight regarding nutrition, motivation, sleep, as well as injury prevention and stretching techniques. You will start slowly and gradually build strength and stamina. Your focus over thirteen weeks will be to improve your overall health and fitness while remaining injury free.
