 Avoid
BACK and NECK pain!
Check your pack straps to make sure you are carrying
the weight evenly. Add a waist strap to decrease
the weight carried by your shoulders.

WALKING! While it's great for our cardiovascular health,
we often neglect one of the most important parts of
the body
OUR FEET!
On
average, we take between 8,000 and 10,000 steps everyday,
though recently it's closer to 15 - 20,000 a day! The
foot is always under enormous pressure from the body's
weight, so it's no wonder that at the end of the day
our feet hurt. At some point, 75% of the population
will suffer from foot related problems resulting in
pain or discomfort of not only the feet, but ankles,
knees, hips or back.
The key to healthy feet is good biomechanics and for
some of us this means going beyond a good pair of shoes
by adding custom
orthotics. Today, new computer technology can capture
the motion and pressures of each foot throughout the
gait cycle. This data is then evaluated to produce graphic
images, pressure assessments and full gait analysis
of each foot. Orthotics provide superior control and
correction for the foot helping to improve the way your
feet strike the ground.
If you are experiencing foot pain or related knee and
back discomfort after walking or running, come see us
for a comprehensive assessment of your feet and gait
cycle. Orthotics may be what you need to put your best
foot forward this spring.
